Eliminating Single-Use Plastics for a Greener Future

As part of our ongoing sustainability journey, ibis Styles Kingsgate Hotel is committed to reducing single-use plastics across our operations.

 

We have replaced individual shampoo, conditioner, and soap amenities with bulk refillable dispensers in all guest rooms. In our breakfast area, single-serve portions of honey, spreads, and Nutella have been replaced with larger shared dispensers, helping to significantly reduce packaging waste. We have also replaced single-use milk portions in guest rooms with 150ml milk cartons, reducing unnecessary plastic waste while providing a more sustainable alternative.

 

We believe that small, consistent changes can make a meaningful and lasting positive impact on the environment.

 

Conserving Energy and Resources

We have implemented a comprehensive energy management program designed to reduce energy consumption across the hotel. Guest rooms feature energy-efficient lighting, and our Individual Controlled Reversing Heat and Cooling Systems are carefully optimised to minimise energy use while maintaining comfort. We also invite guests to participate in our towel and linen reuse program, helping to conserve both water and energy.

Accessibility

At ibis Styles Kingsgate Hotel, we are committed to making every guest’s stay as comfortable as possible.

Please note that our heritage-listed entrance on King Street consists of nine steps leading into Reception, and there is no step-free access into the building. Our team is available 24 hours a day and is more than happy to assist with luggage or provide any assistance you may require on arrival.

Once inside the hotel, lifts provide access to all guest room floors. Our Accessible Rooms feature wide doorways, an open accessible bathroom, and supportive handrails in the shower and toilet to provide greater comfort and ease of movement.

Guests can also enjoy Smart TVs, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi throughout their stay.
